Using your cards
Moving between questions and answers
The user is able to view the cards between questions and answers by flipping the smart phone or tablet forward and back, or by touching the screen when the cards are in the play mode. A visual function hand prompt will guide the user through the cards.
Moving between the individual cards
The user is able to slide their finger from right to left to move forward and left to right to move back through the cards on the screen as demonstrated by the visual prompt.

Card Templates
The user is able to select from a variety of ready-to-use template layouts to create many styles of flash cards. There are templates for both sides of the cards (question and answer formats) as well as templates that have an area to insert a photo, image or video.
The card template you select for the first card will remain consistent throughout the pack. If you change the header text or spine text or the theme color, that change will also be consistent throughout the pack.
To change the card text, just click on the text and change it, then press Done. You will note that all the text in the pack will have changed.
Card Content.
Users can select from a variety of toolbar functions that assist in the creation of a card including alignment, font, font sizes, colors, symbols and languages.
Images, sounds and videos can be added to individual cards to enhance the visual/audio effect of the cards.
Mathematical and scientific symbols are just some of the wide range of technical symbols available within the app. Many symbols will register with the text to speech function, for example “°C” is spoken as “degrees Celsius” and “m3” is spoken as “cubic metres”.
How to use the above features are described in the downloadable tutorials and video tutorials which can be accessed from the “Pack List” on the app or, alternatively, users can activate the tutorials from the website.
Images: Library, Camera or Video
Images can be selected from your personal device library or photos can be taken live with a camera feature within the app.
Images and copied text may be subject to copyright. Confirm your rights before uploading any image, picture, photo or text. Download royalty-free or purchase images from picture providers on the internet.
Voice/Sound Recording
During the creation of the cards the user can record their own recordings for a period of up to 30 seconds on each card throughout the pack.
Each recording made will increase the pack digital data stored and produce longer upload and download periods, due to the file size. FFC recommends that users minimise the recordings where possible, if the created packs are to be shared with other FFC users.

Video Recording
Users of the Flip Flash Cards app may create their own short 30-second video for personal use, for presentations or promotional material on all card templates where the photo icon appears. If your video exceeds 30 seconds, you can use a video link instead.
Each video installed will increase the pack’s digital data stored and, as a result, take longer to upload and download. FFC recommends that users minimise the use of videos where possible and use video links.

Security
The Flip Flash Cards app has a selection of security features.
The latest encoding program has been used to protect the card packs between the device and server.
All packs of cards that have been created remain the property of the creator. The editing on the cards can only be accessed via an admin password created by the pack creator. Other users of the pack can only view the card packs.
When the cards are shared with others via a share code, a password can be installed to protect the pack from unauthorised downloading. The number of authorised copies of a pack to be downloaded can also be pre-determined by the creator providing further protection for the card packs.
Once a created pack of cards has been downloaded to a secondary device, the card pack can only be viewed, not edited. The card pack or packs that have been shared can’t be modified or pasted onto by other users of the Flip Flash Cards app. Only the creator of the pack can authorize the number of packs available via the share code and password.
Intellectual Property
When the creator transfers their work from their device to Flip Flash Cards app via a selected server, the set of cards are changed into a format that prevents any changes being made to the card pack questions or answers and remains the intellectual right of the creator. The flashcards can only be altered through the authority of the creator and admin password. If the password has been provided, editing access can be granted.

Web or Email Links
When creating a pack of cards, the user has the option of inserting a website link or email address so that potential clients/customers can quickly and easily contact them directly.
Share Codes
A “share code” is created at the time of uploading a new pack of cards onto a user’s nominated server. This share code will only ever appear at the bottom of the Pack List image icon on the editing page and only on the device that the pack was created.
This share code must be provided to other nominated users so that they can download the set of cards. Note: if a password has also been created to protect this set of cards, that will also be required by the downloader.
Sharing on Social Media
The creator can post the packs of cards created via Twitter and Facebook or select to email the share code to individuals or work groups.
